This year's Municipal Election is Tuesday, November 7th. The polls will be open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Sharon Town Hall, 63 Main Street, Sharon CT. To make sure everything goes smoothly you can check your voter status, register to vote, change your voter status or change voter information using the links below.

If you cannot appear at the polling place on Election Day absentee ballots are available. Can you vote absentee?

Are you an active member of the armed forces of the United States?

Will you be out of town (any hours of) on Election Day?

Does sickness prevent you from voting in person on Election Day?

Do your religious beliefs prevent you from performing secular activities like voting on Election Day?

Will you be performing duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own on Election Day?

Does a physical disability prevent you from voting in person on Election day?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are eligible to vote absentee.  

Requesting an absentee ballot:

Use the online CT Online Absentee Ballot Request This portal will be checked daily by the Town Clerk's office.  If using this option you need to have a valid Connecticut Drivers License.  The application is received via the portal and mailed.  Please keep this in mind when using this option.

Once the absentee ballot application is completed, return it to the Town Clerk's office either by mail, PO Box 224, Sharon, CT 06069, in person, or by using the white Official Ballot Drop Box located in the back entrance of Town Hall. 

If you come in to Town Hall with the application or to fill out the application an absentee ballot will be issued at that time. An absentee ballot can be issued up to 4 pm on November 6th.
