Highway Maintenance of Sharon's 83.54 miles of town roads is performed under the supervision of the First Selectman and the Road Foreman. Responsibilities include snow removal, road paving, repair and maintenance, installation and maintenance of signs. Approximately one-third of the funds required are provided by the State, while the balance comes from town taxes. Major State highways that run through Sharon are maintained by the State of Connecticut Highway Systems.

There is fresh mulch available at the Town Garage, made from mulching brush and logs.

Material available 7-8 AM Monday through Friday. All residents and contractors may obtain material.
