Christ Episcopal Church (first named, "The Episcopal Society in Sharon") was founded on the Town Green 200 years ago. Our present rustic colonial brick Church with fine steeple and memorial windows of stained glass was built between 1811 and 1814.

Our primary work is worship. In our gatherings, we welcome newcomers as we seek a connection with God and other people with various life experiences. We want to be understood, to understand, and to belong to a community finding truth in the presence of mystery. With no illusions of our own merits, we lay open our needs, seek forgiveness, grace, and assurance of hope.

We are a caring community, respecting feelings, valuing differences, bearing, forbearing, forgiving, hard-working, enduring, amused and amusing. We are all, and each of us, an original -- a piece of work in the Lord's gathering kingdom.

Each Sunday we gather at 9 a.m. -- Eucharist: Rite II with music. Rev. Dr. Martha Tucker, is Missional Priest-In-Charge.

Our Church Family Mission is to be one with God and each other in Christ by living the Gospel with Love and Compassion.
