Election Information

To vote in the Presidential Primary on February 5th 2008, you must be registered with a political party either Democratic or Republican.

Would you like to join a political party?

Fill in a voter registration form found outside the Registrar's office at Town Hall and drop it into the Registrar's mail box.  There are registration forms at the Sharon Library.  Or call the Registrars at 346-5514, leave us a message and we will mail you a form.

January 31st 2008 is the last day to register.  Unaffiliated voters can join a political party in order to vote in the Presidential Primary.

If you are planning to be away from Sharon during the Presidential Primary on February 5th 2008, you may want to vote by Absentee Ballot.  To get an Absentee Ballot you can:

1) go to www.sots.state.ct.us, select "download forms" then select "election forms" under Application for an Absentee Ballot, select English or Spanish Application for an Absentee Ballot form, print the form, fill out the form and send the application to the Town Clerk, Box 263, Sharon, CT 06069 or

2) Call the Town Clerk at 364-5224 and ask for an Absentee Ballot Application form to be sent to you.
